Matthew specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals (age 16+) and supporting clients with sexual issues, managing anxiety, depression, improving relationships, and working with clients with trauma. Additionally, Matthew provides parenting support to build communication skills, positive discipline, and tools to strengthen relationships.
Matthew takes a culturally responsive, client-centered approach, integrating Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients examine their relationships and behavioral patterns, building resilience and moving toward meaningful change.
He holds a Master’s in Teaching, a Master’s in Education- Counseling, and a Master of Social Work, with training in evidence-based modalities and multicultural counseling.
With 14 years of counseling experience and 20 years living and working internationally as a teacher, counselor, and administrator, Matthew brings a grounded presence with decades of lived and professional experience to support clients.
Matthew believes healing and growth begin when people are seen, heard, and valued. He is passionate about walking alongside clients as they explore self-identity, navigate life’s challenges, and reclaim their voice in a complex world.
Matthew is a dedicated foodie, musician, and actor who performs in local community theaters. As a lifelong learner, he brings creativity, humor, and curiosity into every space he enters.
